How do I use Labster in Brightspace? 

Labster provides online simulations for education in natural sciences and medicine. This manual explains how you can use Labster in the content of your course in Brightspace. 

In the homepage of the course, click in the navigation bar on ‘Content’.Go to the content ‘Unit’/week where you want to add the Labster simulation. Click on ‘Add Existing’.In the new screen, click on the three dots on the bottom right (‘More’).Under Third Party, click on ‘Labster’.A new pop-up window is opened. In this pop up, you can search the simulations/courses you want to add. You can add a single simulation or an entire course package. 

Please note that you cannot unselect simulations from a course, unit or collection. If you want single simulations from a course, you will have to search for them separately and select them as single simulations.For the course or simulation you want to add, click on ‘select simulation’ or ‘Select Course’.When you are finished selecting items, click ‘Done’ in the black banner on the bottom of your screen. (The button will be hidden behind the chatfunction-pop up)Click on ‘Add content’.Now the simulations are added to your course.

How do I adjust the settings of individual simulations? 

In the navigation bar of the homepage of the course, click on ‘Grades’.In the top left corner, click on ‘Manage Grades’.Find the simulation you want to adjust the settings for and click on the arrow next to its name. Click on ‘Edit’.In the new screen, click on ‘Properties’ to change the maximum points and select a grade scheme.In the second tab Restrictions, you can change the availability.When you are done, click in the bottom left corner on ‘Save and Close’.The settings of the simulation have now been adjusted.
