Changing the image of the course through the Brightspace page

The courses you are enrolled into are visible on your personal homepage. It is possible to change the images for the courses.The image you add here will be visible to all users.

Go to the course whose banner image you want to change.Go with your mouse to the right corner of the image.  Click on the three dots that appear.Click on ‘Change Image’.Click on ‘Upload’ to upload your own image or choose one of the Brightspace images. Scroll downwards for more images. Click on ‘Use this image’. 

 The image will now be visible for everyone that is in the course.  

Changing the images of the course itself via the course itself.  

You can change the image from within the course.  

Go to the homepage of the course whose banner you want to change.Click on the three dots in the right corner of the banner.Click on ‘Change Image’.The rest of the steps are the same as changing the image on the homepage. An uploaded image can look different than intended, because Brightspace automatically changes the measurments and resolutions to optimize user friendliness. The standard resolution of the image is 1200 x 300 pixels.

Changing the banner text within your course 

This is specifically about changing the banner text. A course name can only be changed through Osiris or Lokaal Support. If you want to change the text in the banner of your course, this is what you do: Select the course that you want to change the name of.Click on the three dots in the right corner of the banner.Click on ‘Customize Banner Text’.
Type the name that you want to give the course. You can choose between the name of the course, a custom name or none.Click on ‘Save’.
