1. Types of Assignments
File Submission: Upload documents, images, or other file types as required by the instructor. Text Submission: Enter text directly into a text editor for assignments that require written responses.
On Paper: Submit physical copies; the assignment is tracked online, but submission is offline.
Observed in Person: Track assignments that are assessed in person, such as presentations or performances.
2. Submitting Assignments
Navigate to the ‘Assignments’ area in the course. Choose the relevant assignment, attach your file, or enter your text, and submit. You’ll receive a confirmation of submission, and the assignment’s status will update accordingly.
3. Checking Feedback and Grades
After submitting, you can review feedback and grades once your instructor has evaluated the assignment. Feedback may include text comments, file attachments, or rubric scores.
4. Group Assignments
Some assignments may be completed as a group. In this case, one member submits on behalf of the group, and the submission is accessible to all group members.
5. Assignment Tracking
Brightspace tracks submission history, allowing you to see what you’ve submitted and when. This can be accessed through the ‘View History’ option. By understanding how assignments function in Brightspace, you can effectively manage and submit your coursework.
