Documents, images, and videos uploaded to Brightspace can be viewed inline by students. To display documents inline, the Document Conversion Service converts documents uploaded to Content into PDFs. Students can also download files from course Content, including entire Units. When students download documents, they are saved in their native file formats.  

The following filetypes cannot (properly) be downloaded: 

• HTML text documents, as these are exported as URLs and therefore not usable. 

Note! Content hidden from students remains hidden and will not be included in a download. 

Downloading 

• To download an individual file, students can navigate to the file in Brightspace and click the cloud icon in the top-right corner of the page.
  

• To download an entire unit, students can navigate to the unit and click the cloud icon in the top-right corner of the page.
